The core of every rapid gravity filter
Silica Filter Sand
High-purity, sub-angular silica sand washed and graded for potable water, desalination pre-treatment and industrial filtration. Low acid solubility, low fines, consistent effective size lot to lot.

Overview
Aqua Tree silica filter sand is produced from the Wadi Natrun deposit, a naturally high-silica formation with low iron and negligible clay content. Material is washed in a closed-loop circuit, rotary dried below 0.5% moisture, then cut on multi-deck precision screens to the gradation on your specification.
The grain is sub-angular rather than rounded, which matters: sub-angular grains interlock enough to resist bed migration during backwash while still permitting the void ratio a rapid gravity filter needs. Uniformity coefficient is held at or below 1.5 on standard grades, so head loss develops predictably across the run.
Every production lot is sampled and tested before dispatch. The certificate of analysis that travels with your shipment reports the actual sieve curve, effective size, uniformity coefficient, acid solubility and specific gravity for that lot — not a generic datasheet range.
