Sold separately, matched to the aggregate
Epoxy Resin Binder
Two-component, UV-stable epoxy binder for stone carpet, epoxy terrazzo and resin-bound surfacing. Sold on its own rather than as a kit, so you can buy it with our aggregate or with your own.
- Manufactured to: EN 13813 SR
- Manufactured to: ISO 9001 process control
Overview
We sell the binder separately because most flooring contractors already have a resin they trust and only want the aggregate. Bundling the two into a kit forces them to buy something they do not need, and hides the resin specification behind a system name.
The one specification that decides whether an exterior floor survives is UV stability. A standard bisphenol-A epoxy ambers within a season of direct sun, and on a white or pale aggregate that yellowing is the first thing anyone sees. The UV-stable grade below is aliphatic-modified and holds its colour; the standard grade is cheaper and correct for interiors, where there is nothing to resist.
Coverage depends on the aggregate, not on the resin. Finer chips and sharper edges present more surface area, so a 1–3 mm Edge blend takes noticeably more binder per square metre than a 4–8 mm Lustre. The figures on the data sheet are given per chip size — ask us to run them against the exact blend you are specifying.
