Glass, foundry and construction grades
Industrial Silica Sand
Washed and graded silica sand supplied to glass-making, foundry, ceramic and construction specifications, with iron content controlled to the level each process demands.
- Manufactured to: AFS grain fineness
- Manufactured to: EN 13139
- Manufactured to: Customer specification
Overview
Different industries care about different numbers. Glass makers watch Fe₂O₃ because iron tints the melt; foundries watch AFS grain fineness and clay content because they govern mould strength and permeability; construction watches grading and organic content. We grade to whichever specification governs your process.
