Regeneration salt for ion exchange resin in softeners and demineralisation plants.
Specifying note
Regeneration salt is specified on water-insoluble matter and dissolution rate, not on NaCl percentage. Insolubles accumulate in the brine tank and foul the resin bed — a salt that is 99% pure but carries 0.5% insolubles will still shorten resin life.
